Home Reno!
It has been the wildest most exhausting, but exciting road renovating our new home! I’m so proud of what we did. B and I spent hours upon hours designing, demolishing, rebuilding, choosing details so tiny I never even considered, shopping for furnishings and phew! It finally feels like we can breathe a little … we made it!!
So grateful for this opportunity!
ps - Check out this reel for a peek at all the details…I have tried to offer sources and information below if you have a project in your future:).
Carpet - Green label with low chemical emissions…I searched for months to find one I loved and this carpet is stunning.
Brand - Dream Weaver
Pattern - Montreal
Color - Shellbrook
Laminate Flooring - This has a warm wood look and feels light & pretty. We love it so much! It doesn’t hide as much dirt as our previous dark grey laminate floors though, and that’s been a hard transition! (We didn’t realize just how messy our floors get every day…ha!)
Color: Colorado Hickory by Watershed Laminate
Cabinets - All cabinets were done by Copper Canyon Design in Utah.
Upper Cabinet Color - Acacia Haze by Sherwin Williams
Island/Floating Shelves - Natural White Oak
Mud Lockers - The arch (natural white oak) is my favorite! The lockers are painted Cocoa Berry by Sherwin Williams. I am IN LOVE with the color and the lockers!
All hardware on the cabinets came from Top Knobs.
Finishing touches…
Star Light by our mud lockers…oh my goodness I love it so much!
Pendant Light in the archway…from a cute Etsy shop! The exact one I got is sold out (there was only one), but they take custom orders so she could make another for you!
Countertops - Vallejo Gold from Arizona Tile
Backsplash (Our Moana/Indy Llew inspired tile wall) - It is called S-Vintage Grey Scallop. It comes in a few different colors and is well priced! We used warm grey grout.
Paint!
Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore - the white shade throughout the house…it is a warm white paint color without being too yellow!
Edgecomb Grey by Benjamin Moore…a warm, gorgeous grey for trim & doors
Silvermist by Sherwin Williams - I LOVE this calming blue...we used it on the shiplap in Zealand’s room.
Rainbow Shiplap Wall Colors (all by Sherwin Williams):
Fresh Eucalyptus
Studio Mauve
Pinky Beige
Pink Shadow
Whole Wheat
Willow Tree
To create the light shades/colors I mixed the original colors with a warm white paint (Swiss coffee), but you could ask the paint store to make them for you, using 20-40% strength of the original colors. I used more white than I anticipated to get the light colors. If you mix them yourself, make sure you save enough for touch ups - (You can get little storage cans at the paint store, usually for free).
