Dear Terah.

Dear Terah,Your road to becoming a mother will be difficult. You will struggle for 5 years to get pregnant, see many doctors, and go through many procedures. Your heart will break over & over, but I will put it back together. Infertility will shape you into who I need you to be.Then Terah, this baby you longed for, prayed for, worked so hard for... will surprise you at birth with Down syndrome. You will grieve. Your soul will feel an unexplainable anguish. You will be angry with me, and you will wish you never become a mother. But I promise you Terah, that this baby- this amazing gift I will give you, will change your heart in a way that only could be done by this means. She will shape you into who I need you to be.And then, when you feel you’ve adjusted to the path I’ve set for your life, this baby that you love with all of your existence- every fiber of your being- will get cancer. This will cause you to feel sorrow so deep that your physical body will ache with pain. You will feel like your drowning, dying, suffocating in sadness. But please know, that all of this will shape you into who I need you to be.Please know & understand, Terah, that the love you feel for your child will be far greater than any of the pain you will experience on the road to motherhood and during your unique mothering experience. The love you will feel is indescribable, it is past your comprehension. So you have to trust me- and believe that it will be worth it. All of it. Being a mother will be your greatest gift in your life on earth & in the heaven. Being a mother will change you in every way, only for the better. Being a mother will shape you into who I need you to be.So hang on. Be brave. Trust in me. It will be worth it. It will be the most rewarding thing you ever do in your life. No greater love can I let you feel in your mortal existence. No greater happiness can I give you Terah. I promise you. You were created to be this mother. I love you-Your loving Father in heaven ✨Profound feelings last night as I pondered this day and the celebration of motherhood. All of us have a different journey. It is beautiful in many different ways and it is hard in many different ways. But it is motherhood- and the one thing we all have in common is the power of compassion & love that we feel for our children, wether they be our own or someone else’s. It is always worth it. No matter what our mothering or nurturing experience is like. Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women out there- shaping our children and our future. Love big, hang on, and treasure this gift you have been given.Much love, Terah ❤
